Angie sat cross-legged on the window settee. The brightness of the moon belied the late hour, pushing the shadows deep into the corners. The faint murmur of Tyler’s and Connor’s voices rose through the floorboards from the first level. She looked over at the rumpled bed sheets and then down at the journal lying open in her lap. She re-read her entry.

We did it. I actually did it. How much must Tyler love me to have granted me this particular fantasy? Who knew my husband had a kinky side? And, even though he encouraged me to play with Connor over the weekend, which…WOW…tonight was different. Very different. Tonight the man I’m committed to watched another man make love to me. He helped another man make love to me. No jealousy. No competition. Only mutual excitement, sharing and exploring.

The energy they created…oh…I could almost feel the blood rushing hot and thick through my veins.

The blindfold hid them from me, and I so wanted to watch. But, I admit, I had no difficulty telling them apart. Their bodies are similar in build, but they are different in every other way.

The only thing that could have made it better would have been to feel both men inside me at the same time. Being sandwiched between two gorgeous men…that’s something I think many women fantasize about. I imagine my body would struggle to accommodate them, but in the end they would win. I think I’d forget to breathe.

My mouth’s watering as I write this. My body tingles. Should I be ashamed of how I feel? How will Tyler react now that it’s over? Was this a one-time event? How do I tell my husband I’m counting the hours until we can do it again?

Angela paused and raised her head when the bedroom door opened, and her husband walked in, a knowing smile on his handsome face.

OH DEAR LORD, WE HOPE NOT!!! But damn does she sure try her luck. From pillow talk with her hot hubby, to acting out some of the most taboo fantasies, Angela gives 'Friends with Benefits' a whole new meaning. Worried that she won't live up to Tyler's (hubby) and Connor's (hubby's best friend) dreams as much as they have lived up to hers, she goes head first into this new world. A world where I will say for sure, is one of the HOTTEST places I have had the pleasure to read about. At one point... I BLUSHED! Yes, ME!

With all the witty banter back and forth between Tyler and Connor, and Angela staying in her head too afraid to branch out, you will want to keep reading (and keep an eye on your kindle to make sure it doesn't catch on fire). Tyler's the type of hubby that we all would love to have in some ways. One being he completely understands Angela's needs for BOOK BOYFRIENDS! Yea ladies, it's all laid out in here and he even 'assists' her after one particularly hot scene...

This one is BURNING up with sexiness.

Worried that it would end up being a little raunchy and way out of our comfort zone, we went into this with an open mind. Good thing that we did!! Anne Lange did a fantastic job taking us into a world you may have never thought you should visit and did it very tastefully and leaving you wanting more.

We give this one 4 stars (based the fact that she actually made me blush!) :)

Excerpt * Blake POV:

Tess headed for the kitchen, so I got up and followed her. As soon as she shut the fridge from

getting her beer, she rammed into my chest. She backed away looking all flustered. Color slowly

crept into her cheeks as her eyes scanned the length of my body. Damn! She was hotter than I

even remembered.

“Hey, baby girl. Can we talk?” I whispered in her ear.

“Sure, Blake. What’s up?”

“Not here. Come with me.” I grabbed her hand and led her out to the balcony. For some reason,

I didn’t want an audience for this conversation.

Once we were outside I took her in my arms and gave her the biggest hug. I had wanted to do

that since she walked in the door tonight. Fuck, she smelled just like the beach and her scent

was enough to make me hard. I needed to talk before my dick got me in trouble. “Are you okay?

You deserve so much better than that asshole,” I said softly into her ear.

She took a deep breath and started twirling her hair again. “I'll be alright, Blake. Pretty sure I

knew it was coming. It’s not like this is the first time he’s done this. I guess I was just stupid for

thinking he really was sorry. I’m just so embarrassed. I mean, how stupid am I?”

“Tess, you’re not stupid. He’s the jackass that fucked up. If he couldn’t see how amazing you

are, then that's his loss. Please don’t think that about yourself. You are one of the smartest girls

I know and you deserve someone that will treat you like a damn princess.”

With those words she threw herself into my arms and held onto me like she was drowning. She

fit perfectly wrapped all around me and I couldn’t help but think back to that afternoon in my

truck. I started to feel my pants getting tighter as the memories filled my mind. I pushed her

back and held her at arm’s length. Her face fell a little at my gesture and I felt like an ass, but

the last thing I wanted her to feel was my dick pressing against her.

Our Review:

Kari March done a fantastic job at bringing her characters to life. Tess and Blake are one very steamy pair that have one heck of a communication issue. Tess isn't a whiney 'Oh Woh is Me' heroine, I mean this girl is tough and Blake is completely swoon worthy. The supporting characters are hilarious, I do believe Lexi was my favorite though ;).

Promise Me Always is one heck of a roller coaster ride of ups and downs. I peeled through this book with no problem. The end of it was kind of drug out and it did get repetitive in spots but still good.

Overall, Kari's debut novel was a hit and we will definitely check out her next ones. A Book Whore for life!!! Good Job Kari, keep it up!!!

I am a new adult contemporary author that is currently working on my first novel, Promise Me Always. I am a wife, mother of 2 amazing kiddos, photographer and owner at K23 Photography & Design, graphic designer and cover designer at K23 Designs, as well as an avid reader and blogger at A Book Whores Obsession! I have been married since 2004 to the most amazing man ever and together we have two amazing children.

I was born in Aurora, CO and still reside their today with my amazing family. I couldn’t imagine living anywhere else in the world. I have become accustom to bi-polar weather living here and I absolutely love getting all four seasons (although winters could be a bit shorter.)

I have a small obsession with Starbucks and gummy bears! They make the perfect writing snack! Wine helps a lot too especially with the late night writing sessions. I love the summer and everything that goes along with it, camping, swimming, boating, hiking, etc. I love to travel and Disneyland is one of my family's favorite places to visit together. Closing the door behind me, I was grateful to be back in my own room. Peeling out of my clothes, I quickly got into the shower. It felt like an oasis, the water caressing my body. Thoughts of Mac and I in bed were coming back to me like rapid fire from a machine gun. These thoughts startled me as my body began to respond to the pictures in my mind. Mac knew his way around a female’s body and it certainly felt as though he had pulled out all the stops with me. When I closed my eyes I could visualize his head between my legs. Author Bio

I was born and raised in Michigan, though I absolutely hate winters! Why do I stay? Because I would rather freeze half to death and brave the wintery travel than to be more than a couple of miles away from my family.

I am a mother to an Awesome, Unique, Talented, Intelligent, Special, Magnificent little girl…and if you didn’t catch the acronym, she is autistic. She makes life interesting, and I am blessed to say that she is not severely affected by it. She’s a quirky little thing that holds my whole heart in her little hand, even when she is acting out. I also have been wearing the hat of stepmother to two girls much older than my six year old. I have been a major player in raising them for the last 17 years, and am glad to say they have survived and are in their early 20’s now.

My husband…the best on the planet. He is truly the other half of me. I may not have gotten it right the first time around, but I like to think of my first marriage as practice to make this one perfect…and it worked!

It wasn’t until I recently got into my 40’s that I decided to write fiction. I have always been well-versed in writing business letters and that sort of communication, but never believed I had the ability to write a complete novel. When I could no longer combat the nagging in my soul to just start writing, Change Me flowed like water. In fact, the entire prologue was typed into my phone on notepad! Shocked by how well that went, I felt a spark in me that I could not extinguish unless I was writing. I am so proud of the book itself, but pretty dang surprised that I accomplished something I believed impossible. Now I have several more book ideas waiting in the wings to be written. It’s like I opened Pandora’s Box!

When I’m not working as a business manager of a veterinary hospital, in my very minimal free time I love to cook and dream up new recipes. I especially like to bake and create new luscious desserts. Planning and catering parties are challenges I love to take on every chance I get. I absolutely love to be on the back of a motorcycle riding with my husband, though I don’t get to do it nearly as often as I would like. Crafts? You bet! Music-absolutely a necessity of life. But when I found myself with no time for reading I about lost my mind! Big props to the person who invented the Kindle, who thereby provided the opportunity to reunite me with my favorite pastime.

My dreams? Well, I generally am a “keep it simple” sort of person, but I hope to someday visit every tropical paradise possible! A beach chair, my kindle, and a cold drink, soaking up the sun while the surf whispers in my ear sounds like pure Heaven on Earth to me!

More than anything, I hope that I somehow leave a positive and lasting impression on the people I come in contact with, no matter what form of contact that may be.

When I got home, Devin was sitting on the couch in our living room watching Duck Dynasty and laughing uncontrollably. He was showered and ready for the day and it was only eleven am. I didn’t understand how he could wake up so damn early when he drank. I could sleep all fucking day after a heavy night of drinking. Devin, on the other hand, always woke up by at least seven when he drank. Even if he was up all night long, he was still awake bright and early. Personally, I thought he had been cursed.

“Hey, bro! Have a good time last night?” he asked, wiggling his eye brows at me while he reached over and muted the TV. “It sure seemed like you and Tess were getting pretty cozy last night out on the balcony. I noticed you slept in her room last night. You get any?”

“Shit, Dev, you know we are just friends. She isn’t like that, asshole!” I snapped back. I sat down on the couch and stared at him. Did he really just ask me that? I was so mad. If he wasn’t my brother, I would’ve punched him.

“Uh, yeah, okay…whatever you say, man.” Devin rolled his eyes at me. “Blake, sometimes, I swear I know you better than you know yourself. I see how you look at that girl and I see the way she looks at you. There is way more than friendship there, bro. Wake the fuck up!”

I hated the fact that my brother knew me so well. When we were little, he always used to finish my sentences and it always freaked me out. I never understood how he could do that. I spent most of my childhood believing he was fucking psychic.

“It just isn’t good timing. First of all, she just got cheated on, again, by that douchebag. I sighed, obviously frustrated, and just looked at Devin. “I don’t know what to do. She keeps sending me these crazy mixed signals. One minute she acts like she fucking wants me and the next minute she tells me she doesn’t need any more complications in her life.”

“Dude, no offense, but it sounds like she’s just as confused as you are. Maybe you should just take things into your own hands. If you want her, then let her know. Stop being such a pussy and make a move. You’re Blake Bentley for fuck sakes; you have women eating out of your hand on a daily basis. I taught you better than this,” he said, shaking his head dramatically. “This should be a cake walk for you.” He sat up and looked at me with an, I’m sorry you’re so pathetic, look on his face.

“It isn’t like that with her, Devin. She’s different. I don’t want to just fuck her…. If I mess this up with her, if I lose her, it will destroy me.” I looked back down at the floor. I closed my eyes and memories of Tess filled my mind.

The first time I saw her, all of our drunken conversations, talking about that Bruno Mars song, the way she looked in the sunlight leaning up against my truck….. I smiled as images of her flashed like pulsing lights. The way she tasted as she kissed me for the first time, the way I fit perfectly inside her, her smile, her smart ass mouth, the way she fit like a puzzle piece in my arms when I held her, how it killed me to see her crying yesterday over that jackass……. and then it finally hit me like a ton of bricks. My heart started beating so fast it felt like it was on fire.

I fucking wanted this girl. No, I needed her and I was going to do everything in my power to fucking make her mine.
